Kids Hope Australia

Kids Hope

Kids Hope is an Australia-wide mentoring program in Primary Schools. It is not a religious program. It links one church with one school, to provide mentors for children chosen by the school.

Forest Hill Uniting partners with Burwood Heights Primary School and has been mentoring at the school for over ten years.  The Kids Hope trained church Coordinator trains the mentors, who spend one hour each week with their one child. We have 8 mentors currently working in the school.  Each mentor is supported by a Prayer Partner from the church.  Through our Kids Hope program we have also been able to provide other social welfare assistance supporting the children and their families, including paying camp fees, cookies for lunch snacks, Christmas hampers, Holiday Fun days, and Op Shop vouchers.
